Vyla

This was my first portrait of someone that I actually knew. I was super nervous to start it and knew that it had to be just right. So you can imagine my relief when people would look over my shoulder and ask, "Is that Vyla?"

Very impressive! Not just another portrait - love the dramatic design of the page, and the blue eye pops right out at you! (Of course, that's kind of an awkward turn of phrase when talking about an eyeball :)

I love the shock of the blue eye against the graphite face. Very dramatic and very successful!

You did a great job with the ribbons and laces on the dress and the blue eye.
