Zen Butterfly

This is a coloring page that I printed out and thought would be cool if I Zentangled it. I was right!

Musical Zen

This is for the Zen Challenge "musical". I drew it on a blue piece of paper from a Big Scratch Pad from Alco.

Little Zen Page

This is a page from my Lil' Chub Notebook. I was kinda bored so I filled one of those little pages. The sad thing is that it took me forever to draw it :)

Jade

This lovely fairy (or faerie), Jade, is one that I drew from Make-Believe Mondays. I searched day and night (or maybe just an hour) for the perfect name of this little creature of mine. Jade was the only name that really seemed to fit her. I wouldn't suggest looking at her when she's big. When she's small she looks nicer cuz you can't see all of her imperfections. :) And here's her poem to go with her:

She was scrubbing the floors when a thought came to mind.

“My sword play's the best the best of any other kind.”

She wondered, “Why do servant's work? I know I can do so much more.

I know I could fight the evil pixies and help us fairies win the war.”

A long and terrible battle was waging across the land.

She longed to go help them, she knew she could lend a hand.

She found her father's armor and tried it on for size.

It felt a little funny, it wouldn't win the beauty prize.

But it was stronger than the Elven borreel.

A metal only found in the land of Contanurborasticalseel.

Now only to find her perfect sword she would settle for only the best.

She looked for the one her grandfather gave her (after he'd been laid to rest).

She rode her steed-like mouse who'd been faithful all these years.

Now the only thing she had to do was wipe her mother's tears.

“I'll be back next year, don't you worry about me.

I'll come back without a scratch, just you wait and see.”

And when she flew off to fight for the King,

Her mother felt so proud like when Jade got her wings.

Jade fought beside the other men and new friends she did make.

She sent back a letter almost everyday for her parents' sanity's sake.

The day she came back the town had a celebration,

The gave hugs and kisses and looked up with admiration.

Jade told stories to children about strange animals she saw,

They all gasped aloud when she described an eagle's claw.

And the more she grew older the more stories she could tell,

For the King now trusted only her to guard his family well.

She became the country's hero when she sacrificed her life,

For a servant boy the Pixies took from a little old shoe-makers wife.

Her name became known far and wide, “Jade the Protector of All.”

And to think she started as a servant who cleaned the floors in the hall.

A Zen Sun

This is my card for the 1st Zentangle challenge, "Spikey". I started with the spike zentanlges and then I thought of putting the face in the middle. However, no one in the house could remember what genre of art it was called. But after a while of searching Google, I was able to find a face that I liked and tried to copy their amazing sun face. I like my sun better.

Lighthouse

This is the picture that I painted for my sister as a Christmas present. We're going shopping soon and hopefully I'll be able to buy a nice picture frame right under her nose. There are certain things that bother me about it but as a whole, I think she'll like it.

EDM #1: Shoe

Here is my wonderful Airwalk shoe that I have come to adore. They're more comfortable than Crocs in my personal opinion. I get a lot of comments everytime I wear them because they're so odd looking. But I love them. Sadly, their life is slowly coming to an end. But I will have this drawing in rememberance of them.
